This isn't even close to being the right kind of location for a methadone clinic. It makes no sense at all

I am not against methodone as a treatment method, but the location is just a bad idea. Agree that there is no need to have two centers within 3 miles of one another. Too close to schools, parks, Santa Fe trail, and all the wonderful shops downtown Monumnet offers its loyal residents. Please Mayor Dominguez, listen to your constituents and do the right thing for the long term viability of our historic business district.

Do we really want to put it across from a park and a mile from a grow house. Do we even care about our children.

I fail to see how this clinic will improve or enhance the community of Monument. It's a sleepy little refuge away from Colorado Springs and Denver. Aren't there facilities in Colorado Springs capable of handling the heroine using element of Colorado Springs rather than sending them to Monument? Where is the opposition from the city council on this?

get the clinic a new home away from the park and out of monument. Try downtown Colorado Springs. There is probably more clientele opportunities around memorial park.

No one with common sense would allow a methadone clinic within 200 feet of a city ark where young children and mothers go to recreate. This is a disaster waiting to happen. STOP THE CLINIC.

There should be one here but not anywhere near 2 playgrounds and family businesses. Put it by the Recovery Center on 105.

Not an appropriate location for a methadone clinic across from a children's play area !!!! Bad for the community

This is just isn't the right place and its kind of crazy we have to have a petition for our City to know that.

I absolutely agree with everything said here. We of course want people to have access to a clinic, but in the heart of Monument is not the place. Downtown is too small and too delicate to bring that sort of clientel into the quaint, family-friendly atmosphere that we all hope it stays.

As a property owner and tax payer, I am greatly disturbed by the idea of having a methadone clinic in one of the few safe and quiet towns left in Colorado. Then to see that the proposal is to put the clinic right across the street from one of our nicest parks where families and children go to spend time together outside makes me disgusted.

I agree, I am not against methadone treatment, just not in my backyard.
