The location, across from a family park, is not a good, or safe idea. Another, more appropriate location must be found.

How could ANYONE think this is a good idea? Let's see...small town, residential area, across the street from a well-used park catering to families...hmmmm, what could go wrong?

This is crazy. Is our new mayor allowing this? I am hoping not.

It is WRONG to have this right next to Monuments most popular park where children are playing on a daily basis.

This is absolutely a horrible idea. Town council needs to do the right thing and NOT approve this.

This could be an economic disaster for all of the other businesses in Monument when we stop shopping in our own community because we don't feel safe or comfortable here. NIMBY

I can't believe they want to put this across the street from a park! This does not belong in Monument!

This clinic is not a good fit for a town with a lot of children and elderly. Proximity to Limbach Park is a very innapropriate locations! Mary

Monument has always been faced with drug abuse, there's no denying it. And with the increasing incidents of heroine abuse there's no denying that something must be done. However, placing a methadone clinic right across the street from a park where children play, often unattended, is irresponsible and a bad idea in general. A methadone clinic would go nicely with the new rehabilitation center in Palmer Lake, out of town, and in a location where individuals can revive additional help. Methadone will not treat a heroine addict, they need additional resources. Having a methadone clinic where there are no additional rehabilitation services will likely bring out the wrong, desperate crowd, not the crowd truly seeking treatment for their addictions.
