Ok people! One thing to remember there are two companies that are involve in this business venture.
1-is the building owner that has decided that renting this building for this kind of use is a good thing! Remember this owner is a local Monument man.
2- the Corparation that run this type of facility and has rented this building from the Local Ownership neither of these two individuals seem to care what Monument wants, now I don't know this for sure but have been told that these two corporations may have the same ownership..
1-is the property owner, the other is the business operators.
That means that all ownership is a one Local man..

A methadone clinic close to Limbach Park and the railroad tracks puts parents/children in the park at risk. The summer concert series in the park would be endangered as well. And the Early Childhood Education Center next to the old GBES is close to the proposed location. Finally, the city of Monument is taking a risk that persons on methadone could wander to the railroad tracks and be injured or killed. Colorado Springs and Denver can provide these services.

No to this. Bad idea especially right across from the downtown park and children's playground. What idiot thought this would be good for the businesses too

Not as good idea. Downtown Monument is not the right place for this clinic. No benefits for businesses and homeowners and lots of downside.

There's a park right across the street... How does this seem like a good idea?

We are not excited about this type of facility being so close to a public park and our childcare center. There are many families and children in this area that would not be as safe as they are now.

There is a community park across the street and a childcare center a block away so a methodone clinic would not be a good idea in that location.

Fillmore Street in Colo Springs would be more of a conducive environment.

Terrible idea in a horrible location. Please Monument, do the right thing and not approve this. Failure rate is pretty high for this type of treatment and putting these people near a park with kids is really just stupid. Not too mention the risk of break ins and other potential criminal activity.

Really? Right downtown? People move here and spend a lot of money to do so, so that their children don't have to be near that type of establishment.

No to a Methadone Clinic in Monument, CO. I agree people should have access to a clinic, but placing it in a small town and right across from a park where children play is NOT the right location.
