Please NO. Not right next to our children's park and near our teens skateboard park. We have enough drug issues as it is in our beautiful community. Let's not add more people to the mix. I admire & applaud people dealing with and learning to reject drugs but this is not the place to replace 1 drug with another.

That location is terrible for such a "clinic"

Opening a methadone clinic across from a city park , in proximity to 3 schools and in a residential neighborhood is not only ludicrous but borders on criminal. Monument is a quiet bedroom community. I moved here 30 years ago to raise my children in a safe environment. We cannot let that safety be taken from us.

Being a former police officer in a large city in California, the area around these clinics are full of crime run down and attract low life's. These places should be in inner cities where they won't cause decent people harm.

Although there may be a need for the clinic, this is simply the wrong location close to a public park. This is like locating a clinic across from a school which I'm sure would not be tolerated.

Again, INCONCEIVABLE that this is actually being consider at any point, on any level. MIND-BLOWING, except when you think of the Drug Trade endeavoring to take over the entire USA. At this point, we know a whole lot of names & organizations to contact in every way imaginable. (1) Owner of Building. (2) Location of building to PICKET if necessary. (3) Monument Police -- they may as well ready for the onslaught of daily calls re drug problems. (4) State Substance Abuse Administrator (courtesy of the nurse who commented). (5) Monument Mayor, whose online message is a lame-o attempt at assuaging. (6) The corporation who plans to establish a drug trade in the Artsy Hometown of Monument. (7) Zoning and Planning.
We want this STOPPED! NOW! We wanted to move to Monument, as artists, to make our home in the artful, peaceful, hometown values place that Monument currently is. We are leaving it up to the current residents to flush this.

Please stop this. My brother had this problem, and it doesn't help. This will ruin Monument. It will not be a safe town any more. Please stop it.

We absolutely DO NOT need a methadone clinic in our community. The safety and general welfare of the townspeople of Monument takes precedence.

Having previously worked with children/adolescents in crisis as a registered nurse I am questioning the ethical standards of this business. They are a business that does therapeutic intervention and know that this location is Not appropriate for this type of clinic. So why in the heart of Monument next to churches and schools? Why no school board members in attendance? Why did Denise Vincioni our state substance abuse administrator suggest this area?

I am very upset with the fact that someone arbitrarily made a decision that he wants to put a Methadone clinic up in the town of Monument period and especially next to a park!! At this point, I feel like I will be forced to enhance my home security to protect my family and may even decide to move away from Monument because the town will go to hell in a hand basket with all of the druggies that will be here. The bottom line is I firmly believe that this needs to be stopped and this is piss poor business planning on certain people. We need to put a stop to this or the town of Monument will suffer!!!
