This is for the voice of the people of Martin county who are NOT for mandating masks for citizens in our county. A recommendation is fine however, mandates are a clear overstep of government into our civil liberties. There is overwhelming evidence that masks are causing new and additional health issues in otherwise healthy people who have been forced to wear masks. There is clear guidance that the mask "does NOT provide the wearer with a reliable level of protection from inhaling smaller airborne particles and is not considered respiratory protection."
Additional information will be presented if asked but considering this meeting is taking place RIGHT NOW, we need to SPEAK UP!

The silence from the council remains heavy even as more residents continue to reach out with their own frustrations. It is draining to keep pushing against a brick wall but walking away is not an option when our civil liberties are being treated as suggestions. We are keeping the pressure on until they acknowledge the people they represent.

Seeing the momentum grow despite the exhaustion of this fight shows that people are finally noticing our concerns. It is difficult to keep pushing when the walls feel so high yet I am not stopping now.

I can't breathe in them. I also panic when people are around me with their face covered. But if they want to wear them, fine. Just not me and my kids and others who are compromised with face covering.
Let citizens decide for themselves if wearing a mask is right for them, just like we treat all other medical issues in this country.
Masks should be optional. There are so many reasons for people not to wear them. One being, Im 52 and I can hardly breath in one especially in 90* weather!
NO mandatory masks! masks are not across the board good for all people, we need to respect health conditions of all.
No mandatory masks in Martin County. The information throughout this has been contradictory and there is poor handling and reporting of statistics. Additionally, masks are not truly helpful in containing any pathogen, as they must be correctly worn and replaced/cleaned quite often
Why aren’t there more people speaking up? Ignorance. Masks hurt our health and diminishes our health therefore making us vulnerable to viruses. Damn the CDC! They’re idiots.

Let the individual businesses decide as it should be. . As is my right to decide if I want to frequent those businesses.
