It's unfair to change the dress code last minute when so many people have already purchased their outfits- of which many cannot return. Also, some students weren't aware of the dress code until informed by peers.

COMPLETELY unfair that some people have to go buy new dresses so last minute. I went and got mine two weeks ago, and the ladies at the shop said I was cutting it close to my event date. My dress isn't even getting here until next week! To tell students this two weeks before prom and expect them to go and buy expensive new dresses (that may not even come in on time) is completely ridiculous.

The school admin really procrastinated on this issue. You can't just make new rules and enforce it a week before the event occurs. The students should have been alerted at least months before or even at the beginning of second semester so that they can plan accordingly and buy the appropriate dress.

This is insane if they expect everyone to follow the dress code... A bunch of my friends, myself included, didn't even receive an email, just heard about it from other students. My dress was over $200 including getting it tailored, and as everyone pretty much knows, you cant get a refund on special occasion dresses... Honestly just really annoying.

As a student, I didn't even receive the email about the dress code change. I only heard about it through other students and had the changes forwarded to me. They should have changed the dress code when Prom was announced a month ago, then many others wouldn't have to waste hundreds of dollars on something they now can't wear not return.

Most girls spend at least a few months looking for their dress, and most people spend like $140+ on their dress. Are you seriously going to give us a dress code literally two weeks before prom when we've spent months looking for the perfect dress?

I can't believe this. I didn't even get the email so I knew nothing about this until today. I'm pretty sure my dress isn't in dress code which is really upsetting considering my dress isn't returnable or anything.

Most of the stores have policies for the prom dresses, non refundable/returnable. In addition to, most of the girls purchased dresses in advance. So my question is, will KHS administration refund the cost for prom to the parents? Last minute policy makes absolutely no sense!
