Parents, Our Portola Valley School Board has very difficult budget decisions to make for the upcoming 2012 school year. Due to budget deficit, they must cut $854,887 for a balanced budget. While a number of items are being reduced, one item still being considered is to INCREASE class size in the 4/5 classes by ELIMINATING a teacher position. Many of our current classes are already over 20 children per teacher and reducing a teacher will bump this number up to 24 or 25. This will directly affect the quality of instruction each child receives. And, this sets a new benchmark for an acceptable classroom size for future classroom sizes.   Tell the PV School Board that you do NOT support this effort.   Sign this petition TODAY and share it with your friends.
