We already have been penalised for years with our wages. It already cost £50 a month to park and there is no other reliable method of getting to work. It is simply not fair to penalise staff for coming to work

What alternatives are there to driving and parking at the hospital? Buses do not service all areas, are not reliable, not direct and do not offer enough flexibility. Changing facilities are inadequate for runners and cyclists. Provide staff with suitable well thought out, suitably funded alternatives rather than charging us more for parking.

£600+ a year in parking charges is quite enough of burden to bear. The costs associated with attending work should not increase further!

I think it is disgusting how this can even be suggested!!

I believe that the current payment of £2.50 per day should be an adequate charge for parking. £575 a year for me to work for the Trust. The upper levels have very few cars parked thier. By appropriately increasing use income may be increased.

Getting higher and higher - impacts on my wages which then impacts on my family. Work to live, not live to work.

travel over 30 miles to get to work so don`t want hassle of parking off site or struggling to find a space when we get here. Also are in car share with 2 others so doing our bit to cut down on parking already

Many staff like me can't afford this high parking charge as we are already struggling to pay the current daily charge.

maybe people who park irresponsably, taking up 1 1/2 spaces, could be charged extra?

I feel the proposed increase is wholly unjustified and unreasonable. It discriminates against part-time staff and those approaching retirement for whom salary sacrifice scheme does not make financial sense.

I feel another parking charge rise so soon after the last extraordinary price hike is simply profiteering. The suggested increase on pay per day rather than salary sacrifice schemes also seems directly aimed at penalising those for whom the monthly salary based scheme simply does not work - whether this is because it has a detrimental impact on their pension if approaching retirements, or because they are part time and the increased salary sacrifice cost does not stack up for the number of days worked.

Both my husband and I work at this hopsital - no we cannot car share as we work opposite shifts (he is a student) and we cannot get public transport as have childcare needs and live a large distance from the hospital so it is double payout for us. They know we cant go anywhere else due to location of other trusts. This trust does not look after its staff - we are tired, over worked and demoralised!

Here we go again. Let's make the staff subsidise underinvestment in the NHS by clawing back cash from their salaries (fits in nicely with year on year pay freezes and massively increased in pension contributions) Will the Trust put in a job advert that it is considering plans to charge staff £800 a year to come to work? Yes, that will show how much staff are valued
