No increase to staff parking charges - Derriford Hospital

£2. 50 at present is way too much further increase can not even imagine

I'm not currently entitled to a permit despite being On-call at weekends which is unfair. Increasing the charge is an insult to the service we provide as healthcare professionals!!!!!!!

Means yet another pay cut on the horizon!!!!

This is ridiculous.

It would be a gesture of loyalty from our Director s for the remaining skilled staff who put up with staffing shortages and lack of beds with all the stress that means for all the Nursing staff their foot soldiers!!! It is inconceivable that anyone would think it's okay to put up parking for low paid nursing staff!!!!

Unexceptable to raise the car parking charges, when we are fighting for pay rises.

This is the thin edge of the wedge , I think. An easy target to raise money and a further kick to the already demoralised staff.

I do not have a permit - it was refused even though I frequently work to midnight. I walk or cycle to the George Park and Ride as there are no buses at when working late. If I am injured or attacked at that time of night will the Trust take responsibility? I think not!!

Don't make it financially more difficult for people to work at Derriford. Look at the other Hospital Trusts and find out how they make it work!

i dont know if i have already signed the petition but i would like to say my wages are low as a band 2 and i would have to work another shift a month to pay for car parking alone , which means 12 shifts a year pays for car parking charges. Not good for staff to do this as i work hard as so many of my other colleagues. Its nice that i am on a good hourly rate . The car park is called the gravel pit and that is what it is , horrible dark and unsafe , people have trouble getting out of the car park as i have my self as the old machine which takes the money do not work properly and you find you are stuck in a queue. we are not paying for luxury we are paying to make someone else get rich on the backs of the hard workers .

Please do not demoralise us any more ,Make the managers & consultants pay more who are on high salaries!

Nurses should not be hit by this rise. Hard working and valuable they should not have to pay for parking at all!
