Many nurses will give up if this continues, we already pay way to much money to do our jobs NMC, RCN, study in our own time.

This is absolutely ludicrous. To someone who works full time and has no other option but to drive and park at work I think this is awful and is going to cost nearly £80 a month. The trust is not giving any healthcare workers the incentive to work here. The trust has already seen such a huge increase in staff parking since I started when it was just 50p a day. There must be other ways to make money rather than penalising staff again. For some people that live in the south hams and Cornwall it will be pointless coming to work.

Staff who haven't got a permit have no choice to pay by salary, I have to pay on exit, I shouldn't be penalised as this is not by choice!

How are the staff on a part time wage supposed to manage that? Ridiculous!

i feel 2.50 a day is alot, to ask for more from hard working staff who no longer receive cost of living pay rises is a kick in the teeth!

It's disgusting that this is even being discussed.

Once again the trust goes against its own core values towards its staff.

This amounts to yet another cut in pay at a time when staff are already struggling with no effective pay rise for years. For those of us who work shifts and do on call , there is no choice but to park on site.

Management will blame Vinci (or Indigo) and vice versa. It is not the increase that I object to, it is the fact that I have to pay at all!

If the amount is raised to £3.50 this will cost the member of staff on a 37.5hr weekly contract over 5 days £800 a year. This is a totally unacceptable proposal.

The three pound proposed charge is crazy. This will not go towards improving services. It will merely fill the coughers of the private company Indigo, who are just out to make a profit by plundering the hard earned wages of workers at Derriford.

think prices are over priced for parking as they are and its wrong to charge medical staff who work there for more

With only a 1% pay increase capped for four years, a NI contribution increase set for April 2016 and HCPC fees increasing for some staff this is yet another blow to the hard working, caring, relentless staff of our NHS.
