Basic pay only, not allowed overtime, no on calls or overruns to bump up wages. Consultants and upper management can afford this , most of us cannot.

I think its wrong that I have to pay to come to work each day. Maybe time to look at leaving derriford and finding a new job .

This is beyond disgusting! its like being bottom of the food chain and pushed into the seweres and left to pick up the nhs Debt. Underpaid and undervalued and this action must be the final straw to many loyal employees. Hopefully we can all stand as one and fight this

I think that a 40% increase is outrageous and that charging different grades, different prices is unfair. It is difficult enough to recruit and retain nurses as it is, increased parking charges will make it more difficult.

it is not cost effective for part time employees who do not work every day to salary sacrifice for parking - putting up charges for swipe cards only is discriminatory

This is disgusting. I've worked for the Trust for almost 25 years when parking was free for staff. The way NHS staff, not just at this Trust but all over the country, are treated is abysmal. Minimal if any cost of living pay rises, freeze on increments (which are part of our contracts!) and charging us for the privilege of working for the NHS - not. The sooner I reach retirement, the better. I'm out of here and would never recommend anyone work for the NHS. I enjoyed my job once!!! If the carparking wasn't privatised then maybe we would't be having to pay the greedy profiteers.

Do I have to be polite?

Considering they had to strike to get just 1% pay increase that was promised, the trust are just taking it straight back for the luxury of being able to get to work. Ridiculous.

Oh come on! really? what happened to the promise of no more price hikes? This is a disgrace, and the powers that are in charge of this should be ashamed of themselves!! Shame on you Derriford Parking!!

They are trying to plug a financial deficit by getting the staff to pay more. Also if staff were paid for all the hours they worked extra including courses and coursework in own time which often we pay forourselves then they might have a point. Perhaps everyone should agree to the increase but only work the hours we are paid. See how that works out!!!

I do feel that after reading all the information that has been sent out about this, although I pay directly by salary sacrifice and not affected personally. It is wrong for others that use the top up card to be targeted. How long would it be before they carry it over to everyone else!

I would have to earn £1000 gross per annum to pay for this

Parking at Hospitals should be free to everyone.

Disgusting. There are hospitals around the country that dont even charge patients and they are coping. We are trying to provide a top rate service and are being penalised.
