Getting fed up of all the costs we have to pay out just to have a job and to go to work.

If I could use public transport then I would, unfortunately there is'nt a direct bus from Saltash, so I am stuck. I am also disappointed to read that the highest paid staff do not pay any charges!!! this leaves a sour taste in my mouth

Transport links are not suffient to expect staff to use public transport. Parking charges are additional to the cost of petrol/road tax/MOT/vehicle, making the journey in and out of work, extortionate for those travelling from far and wide. It seems that staff are being penalised for the trust being such a large employer and not having adequate parking for its 5000 plus work force. IMAO

I think this is an unacceptable increase so soon after more than doubling the parking fees when the £2.50 charge was levied. Particularly poor to ptopose this in the current climate where NHS staff have been so financially squeezed already.

Why do the charges need to rise? I know that it is now Indigo (what a pretty name for something so ugly) parking and not Vinci, but as Vinci made a profit of several million last year, non of which came back to the trust do we need to help Indigo make a huge profit also? I have a disabillity at work permit, I pay as I go not Salary sacrifice, there are not enough parking spaces as it is, and yet they want to charge us more to park? Why? give one really good reason why?
Staff wages have not reason in the last five years and will not rise for the next five im sure. So why should they make profit when health care should NOT be profit making. Staff will be working for the love of it soon, but dont suggest that!!!

many of us are not in a situation of having a choice about needing to use the car parks to come to work, I live in SE cornwall so have the added expenses of highr fuel costs and paying the Bridge Toll - really not happy about this

A disgrace that staff were removed from site and expected to use the' bus service'. Saltash doesn't do a direct route anymore

It seems to me that more and more tiers of payment are being introduced, which seems very unfair. If the new proposals go ahead I will be one of the people who will need to pay the additional cost. Although I am very fortunate to have a permit I try to come to work by other means in order to “keep fit” at least two or three times a week (admittedly not so much when the weather is bad). I work full time and currently pay using the top up card system. I suspect a lot of staff who have been encouraged by the Trust to walk or cycle to work will also have the same issue.

I commute to work and spend a lot of money on petrol, tamar tag and parking every month because I enjoy my job but this is the reason staff leave and now it's beyond a joke. I shall be looking for work closer to home.

I park in the old gravel pit so have no other option but to pay by cash each day. Sometimes i have to work in the community so pay extra for being able to do that.Although i may be a Band3 i am on the lower pay scale which means that some Band2's are on a higher pay scale than myself yet there will be no price increase for them. Why should i be penalised even further!!!!!

Whilst i don't disagree with having to pay to park at work i do feel that this is wrong. Most of us haven't had a decent pay rise for God knows how long so yes go on & kick us a bit more cos you know we never fight back !

The Trust claims that this increase is to 'encourage paying by salary sacrifice instead'. If that's true, then it's not financially required and being done to pressure staff.

The price of parking more than doubled in the last increase. To increase it again is not acceptable. Is it any wonder that we cannot recruit staff.
