Final supporters
This is a petition AGAINST Option 3 - which LCPS Staff Recommends Option 3 to send students residing in Kirkpatrick Farms and Virginia Manor to Stone Hill MS for 2017 – 2021, and to Rock Ridge HS for 2019 – 2021. This impacts students currently enrolled in 1st to 7th grade in said communities.
While these are beautiful schools, it imposes a dynamic change within our community and family activities in the near future.

As a retired FCPS teacher, I am very aware of what happens when borders are changed arbitrarily. Since the Loudoun Valley schools are already overcrowded, moving in more neighborhoods is not a solution, only another problem. NH
I am against this! This affects my children and 40 minutes to get to and from school is too far for a child to be on a bus twice daily and in a emergency parents can't get to the school quick enough to be with them in the time of need!!!
I would like to express my extreme opposition to option #3: This option will lead to longer commutes/cut back on after-school activities/reduce student participation in sports/hinder students with homework & studies/and it will significantly reduce family time.
It would be extremely difficult for the families to manage kids to a school that is not close to the house we live. especially, when one child going to John Champe and sending other kid to a different school would be very difficult to manage.
Crossing over RT 50 is not a good option for our community. The traffic would be horrible and the bus rides long. Currently, we are able to walk to our schools if needed which helps with after school activities and working parents. Our community participation would decrease.
No to rezoning.
Middle and High schools should not be moved from our community to Ashburn. That's too far for our kids.

We have lived in Kirkpatrick Farms for 8 years. I do not want my daughter going to a middle and high school that is not part of our neighborhood and community. Makes no sense to bus them across Rt 50 for a longer bus ride when we have two perfectly good MS and HS.
