Besides being an environmentally sensitive location, this is a strictly residential area. The area needs to be zoned residential to avoid businesses clogging the traffic and ruining the beauty of our neighborhood!

How can they build a hotel between 2 low water crossings? This will bring to much traffic to our neighborhood. And the reason that property was never annexed is because it is in a flood plain.

No to hotel on Spicewood and Yaupon, or any other new commercial development in that area.

Hotel?? Can we not keep one bit of Austin from becoming just another city?

Please stop the developers from building a hotel in our neighborhood. Nobody wants it here.

This ruins the whole area. It will draw and increase traffic.

Property is in a flood plane which is dangerous to anyone habitating that area. I support turning the area into an extension of the Balcones Woods reserve. A hotel/trailer park would only exacerbate the existing morning and evening traffic potentially adding to further fatal accidents.

the neighbors deserve a hearing, and this area is really inside the City - it's getting City water and wastewater services; it needs to be using City processes

Please leave this beautiful scenic area as is!

This is a thoughtless business endeavor. There is not the proper infrastructure to support this proposal, and it adds unnecessary risks to a unique environmental area.

It is a horrible idea to build a hotel on old Spicewood springs in the middle of an environmentally sensitive area with no infrastructure to support it.

Do not allow construction of a commercial hotel in this environmentally fragile area.

This is one of Austin's old beautiful roads. Please keep ONE part of old Austin alive!

It's inconceivable that anyone could think it's a good idea to build a hotel in the middle of a greenbelt, on a narrow road that is already overcrowded and routinely floods.

I fully endorse this petition against the proposed hotel development.

I cannot conceive of extra traffic flow on this narrow country road.

Please do not build hotels in this residential area. Would be devastating.

An 11-story hotel in this location would be completely out of character with the surroundings. Do the City of Austin and Travis County do any kind of environmental / feasibility studies before letting something like this go forward?
