This is clearly a case of an applicant who does not care about the neighborhood, the traffic, or the environmental impact. They are trying to sneak it in simply because it is not a part of the City of Austin. We need to stop it!

The proposed hotel on Old Spicewood Springs Road should be stopped. A hotel in such location with cabins and a trailer park would hurt the property value of the homes in the existing neighborhood. The hotel would also increase traffic which is already very high from drivers cutting their way through the neighborhood to avoid sections of 183, Mopac and 360 to and from downtown. These drivers ignore neighborhood speed limit and Stop signs in particular around the 2 elementary and middle schools putting further in danger the lives of children and parents. Old Spicewood Springs Road is in a flood zone and during floods, traffic issues in the neighborhood would further increase.

This is an environmentally sensitive area and the proposed development would certainly alter the landscape is may ways. Please stop the plan to build an hotel in this area and make the appropriate environmental impact assessment before approving this plan.

Bad idea, wrecking ecosystems on the chance there will eventually be a cut-through road near this spot is only forcing more wildlife out of their habitats and into residential areas. No! This would be an eyesore.

This is a HORRIBLE idea!!! Spicewood Springs Rd is already way too congested, and it floods every time it rains! A horrible location for it - developers go elsewhere, or better yet, why don't you actually leave some green open places left!

There is too much cut-across traffic on Spicewood Springs Road now. Add that to the frequent flooding and the need to maintain the greenbelt and the preserve are enough to make the idea of a hotel illogical and against the public interest.

The land along Old Spicewood Springs Road is a rare, beautiful and fragile sliver of greenbelt in NW Austin. It has mostly escaped the greed of developers and is enjoyed by constituents across multiple districts for its unspoiled natural beauty, and diverse flora and fauna. It would be a travesty to surrender this land to a developer. If you're not familiar with it, take a ride out there. It's stunning. No hotel is worth destroying it.

Traffic impacts on ingress and egress to such a facility needs study and road improvements need to be committed to prior to issuance of permits. Additional impervious cover will just create more downstream flood issues already causing COA headaches. Do not agree that COA needs to annex this at the present time, but should not approve site plans without impact studies being performed first. Travis County will have road responsibility and needs to investigate costs to improve roads and bridges leading into and out of the area. Low water crossings will not suffice.

Traffic is already too congested on Spicewood Springs Rd. and it closes during heavy rains and that would force traffic through the neighborhood which it is not made to deal with. Please look for another location perhaps on 360/Capital of Texas Hwy.

This part of Austin is a beautiful green space with parks and streams enjoyed by residents from the area and from other neighborhoods. Please preserve it for the future so people can hike, walk and enjoy the water for years to come. This hotel and the extra traffic it brings would disrupt the greenbelt, endanger the sensitive water shed. The additional traffic would cause further delays on an already overused road and further put bikers in danger. This neighborhood is a residential area and the families who live here would like to keep it that way for the safety of our children and families.

Building a hotel at 6315 Spicewood Springs Rd. would have a severe impact on this residential neighborhood. As it stands, Spicewood Springs Rd. is heavily congested during rush hour. It was not designed for the current traffic levels, and most certainly could not accommodate a hotel. Furthermore, a hotel would pose a substantial environmental threat to the surrounding green belt and the rivers/streams.
