I see absolutely nothing positive about the proposed hotel development in this environmentally sensitive area. The negatives are plentiful as stated before. Please do not approve this or future commercial development on Old Spicewood Springs Rd.

I think that this land and area should be preserved, not only for the locals and their desire to avoid poluting their lands for something so trivial as an out-of-the-way and outright pointless hotel; but also the fact that the environment there is so crucial to preserving a natural segment of Texas, not entirely corrupted by Austin's growth nearby. Please do not waste this land for something like this. Build a hotel somewhere else.

I do not want to see this beautiful, natural area spoiled. We need to preserve a bit of wildness amongst all the building going on in this town. Why in the world would we need an 11 story hotel in that spot except to bring profits to a few out of towners.

Austin has grown so rapidly and this stretch of Old Spicewood Springs Rd is like stepping back in time. It would be a devastating loss to destroy the rural character of this area where the winding road crosses Bull Creek seven times. The area has been studied before by representatives from the city, county, National Park Service and local residents. Please take action to keep new development consistent with the natural beauty and rural character of this very unique area.

Stop this! This will be bad for traffic, the environment as well as safety. This is and should remain a residential area where people can enjoy the parks, horses, cycling, hiking etc. Traffic is already too heavy in this area and this will be bad for Bull Creek and the Canyon Land Preserve of which it borders. There are also too many low water crossings on this road. This plan is very sad as well as in my option quite mad!
