Precious land is not to be exploited but instead to be protected. Any waterway deserves extra protection, because of the livelihood of the nature that makes Austin special. There are commercial opportunities elsewhere. I implore the Austin City Council to apply any and all protective measures on this land to prevent any commercial or private development.

I oppose, in the strongest terms, the continued development along and above the environmental treasures of Bull Creek, the Bull Creek Greenbelt, and the aquifer and springs that lie below this area. At some point, we absolutely must take a stand against rampant development designed to line the pockets of a few, at the expense of many. Please assess this property for annexation and protection from this uncontrolled behavior.

Austin is distinctive to other major cities in the U.S. because while being a densely populated city, we take pride in things such as our lush landscape and the areas that emphasise the landscape such as places like Bull Creek and Barton Springs. But all in all when I see neighborhoods pop up from what was once a forest, I tend to think that it's just one step closer to taking the precious environment away from our scenery. Ruining Bull Creek with Overdevelopment would be like daming off Lady Bird Lake to make room for factory plants. Please don't make Austin just another cement asphalt like other major (deteriorated) cities in The U.S. Plus not to mention the additional traffic that would result in this already overly congested town.

I hope that you will strongly oppose the proposed hotel at Spicewood Springs and Yaupon. Spicewood Springs between Old Lampassas and 360 is already very congested and extremely dangerous. There is no shoulder and traffic may be backed up past Yaupon at morning rush hour. There is no bike lane and or shoulder and the bridges have no guard rails, and people routinely drive 60 MPH.
This development would be a massive traffic headache and a tragedy waiting to happen.

This is an environmentally sensitive region. Increased impervious cover will have a detrimental effect on the flooding that already occurs annually at this location. This area is necessary for recharge and also is visually a beautiful green retreat in the city.

The congestion in the area slated to be developed is already HORRENDOUS!! Further development into a commercial zone will impact very negatively the lives of those of us who live in the immediate vicinity. Furthermore, the land around 360 & Old Spicewood Springs should be protected from further development in an effort to preserve the natural habitat for wildlife and future enjoyment.
I'm getting seriously sick and tired of Austin giving in to monied interests, meanwhile, those of us who have lived here many years are rapidly losing what little natural and green space that is left.
Keep this up and Austin may as well change their motto: "Keep Austin Green (back)" might be more fitting.

Traffic impact study, environmental study, community involvement, road maintenance study, bull creek watershed impact study, AISD student growth impact study all need to be done before anyone thinks about building anything in the Bull Creek recharge area.
City of Austin needs toannex and then make it a preserve.
