This proposed hotel, etc. will be an environmental disaster, traffic nightmare and, potentially, will ruin what is a beautiful hill country residential area. The hotel should be built in a commercial area and not in a residential area and should not be built next to a creek which winds throughout northwest Austin.

Old Spicewood Springs Road is an environmentally fragile small road which will not be able to withstand unregulated commercial development without taking the natural world down with it. It is next to areas that have been protected for wildlife, for good reason, and is not suitable for multi-story densification of buildings or traffic. A study of possible actions to protect this area from further harm should be made, and appropriate actions taken.

We oppose this project for the following reasons: a) a large scale commercial project of this size should DEFINITELY NOT be built in a quiet Neighborhood setting directly ACROSS from a preschool; b) the ONE-LANE country road where it is proposed to be built is already besieged by traffic problems; and c) Bull creek is an environmentally sensitive area which is not meant to handle the crowds a hotel would bring AND is also prone to flooding Old Spicewood Springs Rd. (related to "b" above). Please do not turn our quiet neighborhood into a bustling commercial zone. This would be more than just an eyesore to our Community. This would be unsafe and would decrease property values surrounding the development.
