As local or visiting Skaters, we feel that the park hours should stay the same. The Lakeland Skatepark at Lake Bonny is a well known skatepark in Central Florida, and many skaters come from all over to skate our park. We feel that the time changing, and fee for entrance is irrelevant and ridiculous. This skatepark was made for skaters to have a free and open skating experience. Having this time change doesn't help at all. And adding a fee for entering will ruin the integrity of the park's main purpose. Us local and visitor skaters please ask that the times stay the same, and no fee will be added. So we can all have a fun, free, and safe skating experience. Thank You.

I have been hearing from so many of you about how much this space means to our community. It is honestly overwhelming to see how much you care about keeping our park the way it was meant to be. I am currently working on a letter to officials and I have all of you to thank for the push to keep going.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many of you stepped up to protect this space. This momentum belongs entirely to the skating community and the people who care about keeping our park open for everyone.

The skaters shouldnt be charged to skate a skate park that was built too skate free, people complain because their mad at them selves not us, when people get hurt it says skate at your own risk, the park control complains about doing their job, the skate park is the reason why myself and many others stay off drugs and doing bad things. Some people don't have the money to pay and get in a free skate park...some don't even have the time because of work, the city of Lakeland is already crap...the Skate park is the nicest thing that's ever happend to this city don't take it away think about other people.

Do you charge people to use basketball courts or play tennis, ride their bike on a path or have a picnic? Chances are this skate park gets more use than your tennis courts.

Leave the park rules and regulations the same. Whenever my friends and i make the 3hr drive to skate, its so totally worth it. If i decided not to come over there and spend money at your local resturants, gas stations and other amenities because the skatepark decided to charge entrance to skate than how much will the city of lakeland actually gain?

Closing the park at 8 makes it inconvenient for those that work or have school. Charging and/or having security will reduce the amount of problems. I skate there every weekend at 7/8 pm,and for the most part it's usually nearly no one there causing any problems at that time.

As an RN at Lakeland Regional, I typically clock out of work at 1945. I then drive to Lake Bonny skate park and skate until 2200 every Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. If the park's hours change, I won't be able to see the majority of my friends to unwind after work.

To us skaters, this place is like our second home and a place to get away. We need the time frame back to how it was because some people like myself work till 8:30-9pm and can't always skate and now for some people and myself I can't ever go to the skatepark to skate an see my friends and skate because of the new time schedule. Please change the time back to how it was. Thank you!
