Everyone has to understand what rezoning the land to allow a Walmart Supercenter will be built is going to do to our whole community problem. This is NOT just a Canebrake problem. Everyone along the Hwy 98 corridor and Hwy 589 will be drastically affected. Bent Creek, Lake Serene, Woodstone, Bellegrass, Bridgefield, Sandstone and all other subdivisions have got to help fight this from happening. This is NOT the right location for a Supercenter in the middle of our residential neighborhoods. PLEASE email Michael Hershman, chairman of our Planning Committee and also all 5 supervisors stating your opposition to this being built at the proposed location. If this Supercenter is allowed to happen, it will be a complete disaster for us and we will face the day-to-day problems of the operation of a Supercenter. I feel we do not need another Wal Mart in this area. Two is plenty for our population. Also Hwy 98 is already congested enough without bring in more traffic in west Hattiesburg!!!!

I want it known that I am very much against a Walmart being built close to our Neighborhoods in Lamar County. We have no need for an additional Walmart in this area since there is one at the present time within a short distance from our neighborhoods .
