The council decided to drop the proposed ban on hookahs. I am incredibly relieved that our favorite local spots get to stay open and keep their doors unlocked for us. We need to stay vigilant but for now this is a huge win for our community.
In a recent council meeting, the Troy City Council has decided that on their May 14th meeting they will discuss the banning of water pipe use due to a "serious public health hazard". We ask those who feel that this change would be uncalled for would sign this petition and help us fight for one of Troy's favorite pastime.
Seeing one hundred people sign this in just a few days shows how much this place matters to our community. I grew up enjoying these spots with my friends and it means the world to see you all fighting to keep our culture alive.

My local lounge has been my sanctuary for years and seeing it threatened by this council decision is devastating. We need to hit that hundred signature mark to show the city hall that our community refuses to lose this space. Please send this link to your group chats so we can force them to take us seriously.

Ridiculous waste of time. Let people enjoy themselves if they arent hurting anyone else.

My friends and I go there all the time to study. It is a chill spot and we dont need the city closing it down.

Total overreach. The council needs to worry about the roads instead of what people are doing in their free time.
