We petition JD Wetherspoon to revoke their ban on customers using e-cigarettes in their public houses. E-cigarettes are easily recognised by a blue or orange tip and it is extremely rare to mistake these for traditional cigarettes. This could easily be incorporated within the organisation's exemplary staff training protocol, therefore eliminating any risk of the organisation being fined.
E-cigs are electronic devices and are not a tobacco product. As such, e-cigarettes are in the same category as mobile phones; tablets; laptops; I-pads; I-phones; Nintendo; Kindle; cameras etc., all of which can be used in public places. To specifically ban the use of e-cigarettes in pubs and not ban other electronic products is socially divisive and unnecessary.

I am currently compiling a list of local pubs that already allow vaping to show Wetherspoon that this policy change is manageable. Email your local representatives to ask why they support a ban on harmless electronic devices while permitting other technology. Keep the pressure on by posting this link to your Facebook feed today.

The momentum behind this campaign proves that people are tired of these inconsistent rules. Head over to our Facebook page and post a comment about why this ban needs to go. Send an email to the corporate office today and demand they update their policy.

Ridiculous to ban these when they dont even smell like smoke. Wetherspoons is losing my business over this nonsense.
MY VAPE IS NOT A CIGARETTE. get it together spoons. let people vape in peace ffs
Used to love going to my local for a pint but the ban makes it miserable. Really hope they change the policy soon.
If I cant use my mod at the pub I might as well stay home. Total overreach and completely pointless.
Stop treating vapers like second class citizens. Its water vapour not smoke. Sort it out.

This has to stop - we must draw a line. This is NOT the role of the government and/or local legislators. If something OFFENDS the right group of people, it is immediately demonized. Even if you are a non-smoker, it is important to take a stand for YOUR FREEDOM.
