The telecommunications company AT&T has proposed to the town of Wrentham that a 100 foot "Monopole" cell phone tower with 12 antennae (four per sector) be erected in the field owned by American Legion Post #225. This field is very close to homes on Riverside Drive, Weetamoo Way,Village Way, Gibbons Lane, Wampanoag Estates and South Street and is likely to be visible to many homes in these locations and others. The proposed location is currently classified as an R-30 (residential zoning) district. It is our understanding that AT&T/American Towerhave indicated that Federal mandates give them the right to erect the tower at this location despite opposition and are appealing to the zoning board to allow a variance on the current zoning use to erect their tower. If you do not want the tower to be erected in this residential area, please sign this petition accordingly. Thank you.

The company continues to lean on their federal mandates while ignoring how this monolith will loom over our living rooms. I am exhausted by the constant legal back-and-forth but we are not backing down while our neighborhood character remains under threat.

Keep it out of the neighborhood!! There are plenty of industrial areas in Wrentham for this stuff. Not next to our houses.
seriously? 100 feet? my kids play in that field. dont ruin our view and our peace just to make more money for at&t. leave our town alone.

This is completely ridiculous. We bought our homes because of the neighborhood feel and quiet surroundings. A 100 foot pole is going to be a total eyesore and nobody wants that right in their backyard.
