Cell phone companies like Sprint, AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile market insurance for replacement of cell phones, but the hardest thing to do is to get the insurance company to pay. Asurion seems to be the number one provider of cell phone protection for all the major cell phone companies. Sales people market the plan with the assurance that your phone is covered whether it is lost, stolen or damaged (in my case with $0 deductible) and customers pay high premiums month after month. When it comes time to make a claim, you either have to pay a high deductible only to receive a refurbished phone or your claim is denied and you are stuck having to purchase a phone out of pocket. If you can't afford either option, you just have to go without one. The time has come for this type of business to end. My goal is to get enough signatures to spark a class action lawsuit against Sprint, At&T, T-Mobile Verizon and any other cell phone provider who pushes useless insurance by Asurion onto their customers.
