AT&T Wireless Overcharges
Hurricanes Maria and Irma both maxing out at Category 5 yielded severe damage to the United States Virgin Islands, Puetro Rico and neighboring islands.
Many United States Virgin Islands and Puetro Rico AT&T wireless customers are still experiencing intermittent cell and data coverage. The cell coverage has improved but it still remains subpar. Customers, like our senior citizens are impacted severely; at times having to leave the safety of their homes to obtain a signal.
Recently AT&T wireless customers were hit with bills reflecting a plethora of overage charges. The fear of wireless cell phone bill shock is a reality. Customers must spend countless hours disputing the billing overages- a travesty for the services not received. These overage penalties from AT&T come at a time when a large sector of the community only have cell phones as a means to communicate. Many land lines are still inoperable as the recovery efforts continue. It’s time to show AT&T that we’re not going to take these outrageous fees and business practices lying down anymore.
This is just plain wrong, and it must end.
AT&T corporate we challenge you to do better. The overcharges and the subpar services you are currently providing to your customers need your immediate attention.

AT&T is doing a disservice to their customers after the hurricanes have left them with little to no service for months now. Yet they have decided to charge ridiculous overage fees for subpar service. They should be ashamed.
