We, the undersigned, have read the proposed health rule from the New Hanover County Health & Human Services (HHS) Board “requiring masks in all indoor public places in the county regardless of vaccination status, including offices, businesses, public transportation, and anywhere the public may assemble.”

We do not agree with, nor will comply with this proposed rule. This rule is a violation of individual choice. The citizens, patrons, and visitors of New Hanover County should be able to choose for themselves proper measures for their health and safety.

We also publicly oppose the issue of the Order of Abatement requiring masks for all indoor public places.

It is an infringement of constitutional rights for government to inflict penalties on businesses if they choose not to comply with these rules.

Let our voices be heard. We do not agree with nor will comply with these proposed rules.
