The commission finally voted to approve the use of thermal and night vision equipment for predator control. Seeing this change happen after so long is a weight off my shoulders because it means safer nights for my livestock. Thank you for sticking with me while we pushed for this update.

Seeing five hundred people back this push for safer night hunting methods is incredible. My family has dealt with the risks of current regulations for too long and it means the world to see this kind of traction.

Seeing one hundred people recognize how dangerous these outdated rules are for our rural communities is incredible. I started this because my own livestock have suffered enough losses in the dark. Your support confirms that I am not the only one fighting for a safer way to manage these predators.

Especially coyotes are becoming more and more brave, luring our dogs out way from the building site at night, which is the only time I am ever home to hunt them. I NEED lights to protect our livestock from these animals and keep my dogs safe.

The allowed use of artificial light and night optics could potentially save me large sums of money each year by easily allowing me so see and dispatch predators that kill and eat my chickens ducks and other small animals that I keep and have lost dubious amounts of over the last few years.

This is a must if we’re going to be a sportsman state. Kansas is known for the abundance of big whitetail, however, over the years the coyotes have depleted the population. Kansas will lose revenue if this matter isn’t resolved in reasonable time. Let’s give people more reason to come to Kansas and hunt! Open night hunting and let the perments sell!

Time to update the outdated hunting regulations in kansas. 35+ states allow night hunting and it is working for them. If it works for them there isnt any reason it shouldnt work in kansas.

Night hunting is the most productive method of taking predators. I live in the country and can tell you we’re overrun. I haven’t had a fawn survive on my place in 4 years. Poachers will poach regardless of laws. Allow law-abiding citizens to help control our damaging predator population.

Have had anyone from ranchers to pheasant farms ask me for help with coyote problems. Night predator hunting needs to be legalized!
