Dear NH Licensed Psychologists:
As you know NHPA introduced legislation this year to create an independent board of psychology to regulate the practice of psychology in NH.
We have made significant headway, however, the opposition is now contending that this bill is only supported by a few psychologists and that the majority of psychologists want to remain with the Board of Mental Health Practice (BMHP). Based on your financial and written support, we know this to be false. In addition, it has been alleged that the only people supporting this bill are psychologists who have lost battles with the BMHP in the past.
We need your help. On Tuesday, August 16 at the next legislative work session on our bill we plan to present this petition to the legislative committee to show how broadly this bill is supported. Please sign the petition and encourage your psychologist colleagues to do the same.
The momentum we have built proves that our cause is much broader than the critics want to admit. My exhaustion remains but seeing this level of participation keeps me moving toward the next step.

This has been a huge headache for way too long. Time to make the change and get independent.

The current setup just isnt working. We need our own board that actually understands the complexities of psychology.

The opposition is totally making things up. Most of us have been wanting this for years.

I support this 100 percent. The board of mental health practice is not equipped to handle the nuances of psychology.
