It's a bit late to modify the dress code. Also, the guys should be learning how to focus with distractions to be ready for the workplace rather than dressing girls in clothing that prevents distraction. Clothing should be neat, clean. Clothing that is sheer, shorter than finger length, etc. should be home clothing.

As a female this is degrading. I have a hard enough time as it is finding clothes that are work acceptable in today's society. I couldn't even apply this new dress code to my closet or I'd have to just stay home or suck it up and go naked to be able to fit into all of these parameters unless I raided my grandmothers closet of pillowcase sack dresses I'd be royally screwed. My neckline might be too low or God forbid my shoulders show the dresses that are too short I wear leggings with but that's also unacceptable. Times are changing I feel as though if a young lady is dressed nicely and her lady bits aren't hanging out nothing should be said.

Any piece of clothing isn't considered an undergarment until it's worn under another piece of clothing. Get it right. Teach male students to stop objectifying female students to such a sexual standard

Young women should be able to wear normal clothing without fear of repercussions because their male peers may be "distracted." It truly sickens me that a petition is needed in order for a dress code to become fair, I hope that change is in the near future.

As a graduate of the class of 2016, this doesn't really apply to me anymore but I do think that it is absurd that girls must alter their closet and expressions through clothing so that guys won't be distracted and can learn. Isn't that discrimination against females? Yes. Because it only stated one article of clothing that males might wear (compression garments). The rest were girls. I really hope that the students of NGHS are allowed to wear leggings and yoga pants because no girl really wants to wake up at 5 and sit in uncomfortable desks in uncomfortable clothes for 8 hours a day. This isn't the 1800's anymore, it's 2016.

So this is what school officials were busy coming up with over the summer break, instead of new learning/teaching strategies or ways to take better care of our kids while they are at school? Please. I wear leggings ON MY JOB, which is in an office. What happens when these kids get sent home, and their parent(s) loses their job for having to get off work? Every situation cannot be painted with such a broad brush GCS. The constant policies and mandates are why I pulled my three boys out of public schools. Go and come up with worthwhile policies and programs that actually help our kids grow into successful adults instead of this nitpicky garbage.
