The Board of Education has reached a formal agreement to retain the owner-operator school transportation system. I am currently monitoring the contract transition to ensure all established terms are upheld by the district moving forward.

My kids have had the same driver for years and they feel safe. Why mess with something that works for the families?
80 years of service is a long time. stop fixing things that arent broken.
KEEP THE LOCAL DRIVERS. They actually know our kids by name and care about them.
we need to keep our own people driving the buses. big companies just dont care the same way
These drivers are part of the newtown community and they deserve to keep their jobs. please dont change this

I was an owner / operator from 2008 til 2013 and I loved my kids and my job. I hope this will come into fruition.
