Using this property for a storage facility is a very poor use of a vacant property that could be used as an asset to the community. A storage facility creates very few jobs for teens and hound adults, brings people into an already at risk community who have no vested interest in the neighborhood or New Town, and creates an eyesore, besides the fact that it does not meet the needs of the community for accessible retail and is certainly not conducive to maintaining property values.
Margaret, I was able to find your message and am joining in my opposition to the self storage facility. Hopefully we will keep getting more specifics about the proposed change to the Giant property and the impact it will have on our community. Also when and if a zoning meeting will be held.
We have so many storage facilities in Owings Mills. I would like to see more suitable retail stores. I say no to another storage facility!!!!!!
We do not want a storage facility to take this space !!

Self storage facility doesn't belong in a strip of stores and businesses that depend on foot traffic. We need a neighborhood food store to replace the one that left or something more appropriate and beneficial for the community. We have had no input.
