This is a petition to change the law for victims of non paying divorced parents. It has come to my attention that even though a father has not seen his daughter in 20 years, never paid child support, medical bills, never sent birthday or Christmas cards, or called to see how she was, that he is entitled to half of a settlement that the mother won for her daughters accidental death case. I for one do not believe this is justified. I believe if a parent has not had contact with their child in 7 or more years that all parental rights should be relinquished and they should have no claim to any compensation from any lawsuit won by the victim of non paying parent. If you agree sign and pass it on. I will then take this to my congressman, senator, and whoever else i need to, to make sure this injustice doesn't happen again. Thank you for your support!
