Implement a "No Parking" Zone with "No Queuing Across Intersection" Signs at the intersection of New Line and New Farm Roads, West Pennant Hills
Cars parked along the nature strip on New Line Rd create a blind spot and have made it extremely risky and difficult for motorists exiting New Farm Road. Oncoming traffic from the direction of Cherrybrook is not visible at all.
As a result, there have been multiple near fatal misses here which have been witnessed by many residents and users of this busy intersection. Multiple residents have written to Hornsby Shire Council, only to have their serious concerns dismissed.
A Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) spokeswoman who was quoted in The Hornsby Advocate article (6th August 2015 issue) unfortunately shows a total ignorance because my extensive investigations PROVE that this is a DANGEROUS intersection which is waiting for a fatality to happen. This is despite the RMS themselves admitting to two recorded accidents at this intersection.
I, along with our fellow residents who have already signed my previous hard-copy petition as part of my research, are demanding that this issue be addressed as soon as possible by Hornsby Shire Council. We are calling for Council to implement a "No Parking" Zone with "No Queuing Across Intersection" signs at the intersection of New Line and New Farm Roads, West Pennant Hills to fix this serious problem.
Why must someone die in a preventable road accident at this intersection before bureaucracy can act?

THE MOMENTUM BEHIND THIS PETITION IS ABSOLUTELY EXPLOSIVE!! IT IS CLEAR THAT THE COMMUNITY HAS HAD ENOUGH OF THESE DANGEROUS CONDITIONS AT NEW LINE AND NEW FARM ROADS!! WE ARE TURNING UP THE PRESSURE ON THE COUNCIL AND THEY CANNOT IGNORE US ANY LONGER!!

Before 2 months ago, i used to live in the hills district for 19 years and have even experienced difficulty in getting on to new line road due to the danger in cars not seeing me and not being able to see oncoming cars
I have witnessed two accidents and a few missed ones. Please don't let us down. This street is the exit from a few other streets. Lots of of young families live in this street as well as teenagers. Lets protect their lives. Thank you
Safety first right?! Councils are supposed to look after their residents and are responsible for their streets, if they don't look after them then they shouldn't be in control!!! Saving lives and preventing fatal accidents are much more important than 'Parking' even if it takes longer to find a parking spot a life is more important than a spot!!
This intersection is dangerous as it is impossible to turn out of New Farm Road when cars are parked along New Line Road due to poor visibility.

I fully support Daniels push to make a clearway at this intersection. I myself have had many near misses at this intersection particularly trying to turn right at New Line Rd heading towards Dural. The intersection is clearly dangerous and should have a clearway of at least 20 metres from the intersection. The location of the bus stop means that commuters are parking as close to the corner as they like which is dangerous for drivers.
