Call to Action on new subdivision

Dear Concerned Citizens,

There is a 57 acre piece of land for sale off Lacy Holt Road below Carrollton subdivision. This land has a contingency sale pending. A developer has started to purchase process to put large homes (2400-2800sq ft) on 6000+ square foot lots, and bust through Wendy Drive to connect this large community. If they can rezone from current r-18 lots to much smaller r-7 lots, the sale will go through, and 200 homes will be build there. If you would like to voice your concerns about this new community they are putting in off Lacy Holt and Wendy Drive/Darrell Drive, please email the mayor and city council members below. This has to be done BEFORE the January 12 city council meeting. Please join us in requesting these changes.

Here are the details of the purposed subdivision:

CR 2005 Colonial Heights and S 2006 Colonial Heights: Conditional Rezoning of GPIN 8873512978, 8873625474 Tax Map# 175818/175819 to subdivide the approximately 57 acres of the subject property for up to 200 residential lots with average lot size of 6000 sq ft. The lots on the end of Wendy and/or Natalie Drive have cul-de-sacs which will need to be returned to straight street, or left alone, at the discretion of the property owners. Per planning board meeting 12/15/20 Darrell Drive will also be accessed for this proposed development.

We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our City Council Members to request for the conditional rezoning of GPIN 8873512978, 8873625474 Tax Map# 175818/175819 from R 18 to R 7/R 9 high density zoning to be denied. We also request that denial of access to the proposed Colonial Heights to subdivision Carrolton and Darrell Drive.
