Cars already speed down Wendy Drive, causing concerns for the safety of the kids that live here. Opening this road up would only cause additional problems with speeding and safety.

As a homeowner on Rockwood Drive for over 25 years, I feel that this subdivision as proposed would be detrimental to the quiet and peaceful nature of this area. Therefore, I urge our City Council to deny the proposed rezoning.

I have been a homeowner on Rockwood Drive for over 25 years. It is a very quiet street with light traffic. My family and I especially enjoy the peaceful natural environment and love to observe the wide variety of wildlife in the vicinity daily. It is, however, understood that over time change is inevitable. This habitat could potentially suffer a direct impact, leading to a complete loss of habitat and damage to the abundance, distribution, and diversity of species present. I hope the proposed subdivision will be planned in a thoughtful manner as to not detrimentally impact the desired quiet and peaceful nature of this area. In light of these concerns, I strongly urge our City Council members to deny the current rezoning proposal.

I oppose this high-density plan and urge all Graham City Councilors to vote NO. Ditto all the other commenters' issues here — aesthetic, pragmatic, financial, safety and otherwise. Please spare our Carrollton-area neighbors what we went through in Durham, which prompted our move to Graham last year.

When are these damaging high-density developments going to stop? This is why we left Durham last year and moved to Graham (outside the city limits, where we thought it would be calmer — but nearly since we landed the same thing is happening all around us here now, too). For all the reasons the residents cite here, please vote this one down. And going forward, please stop cramming new homes into small natural areas right up against existing long-time residential properties.

I have lived in the Carrollton subdivision for almost 11 years. One of the reasons I moved to this neighborhood was because of the quiet streets with very light traffic. My family often walks and ride bikes throughout the neighborhood. Connecting Wendy drive to a new housing development will significantly increase the traffic on our roads making it unsafe for many of the children in the neighborhood. Our schools are already overcrowded. Adding so many homes with only cause greater stress on our schools and teachers.

We wish to have no subdivision added at this end of Lacy Jolt, however if the subdivision is passed, please make the lots large enough so that there are larger homes and plenty of space between each home,
