As friends and family of Jeffery Simmons, you are aware of the agony that has been brought on and to him and his family in the past few years. Simmons (as those close to him call him) was unfortunately labeled and charged as a criminal almost three years ago. Simmons is serving a 15-year sentence at Limestone Correctional Facility with the possibility of parole. The Alabama Parole Board has scheduled a parole hearing for Simmons on Tuesday, May 10th, 2022. We are excited for this opportunity to stand with and stand up for Simmons, his character, and his testimony on that day.

As this day draws near, we first ask for your prayers of support for and safety over Simmons. We are praying the Lord's Will ONLY on this day. We have been able to communicate with Simmons via phone, letters, and even video since his time there which has been a blessing. Hearing the stories of how the Lord has been working in his life and the lives of so many residents at Limestone is truly remarkable. The “Jail Ministry” has given Simmons the opportunity to talk about his faith in Jesus through the hundreds of books, devotionals, and periodicals that he has received and shared.

Second, we are asking you to write a letter or an email in support of Simmons coming home early. State your valued opinion on him entering back into society and how you will feel safe with him being around you and your family. Express your relationship, how you met, how long you’ve known him, etc. Send letters or emails to notifications@paroles.alabama.gov no later than Tuesday, May 3rd, 2022.

And lastly, we ask you to sign this petition in support of Jeffery Simmons' early parole.

Thank you for your prayers, support, and signature during this time. We look forward to celebrating with Simmons this Memorial Day if the Lord allows.
