Blomkamp, please reboot this! I understand your respect for Ridley Scott. But damn Scott is burning up the franchise with these Alien prequels. Alien Covenant sucked horribly!!! I know they say never say never because you just never know what can happen and I believe that some how this project can be resurrected.

Since there hasn't been any "real update" on the Alien franchise, and I am guessing the studio probably won't invest in another Alien prequel. I am hoping that the studio will come too their senses and let Neill Blomkamp make Alien 5.

Damn! I would have loved too see what Mr. Blomkamp would have planned for Alien 5. It sounded like they where going too go all out with this movie! I am curious too see how Ellen Ripley's story would have wrapped in Mr. Blomkamp's Alien 5. Man if only we'd got this movie instead of those crappy Alien Prequels!!!

Oh come on now give me a break! James Cameron's Aliens deserves a much better sequel than that crappy Alien 3! Come on Fox give everyone a freaking break and let Blomkamp do his Alien film!

hmmm. I was just thinking if Halloween 2018 does good at the box office. Then I am assuming we may probably get Alien 5. Considering Halloween 2018 ignores all the sequels/plus Rob Zombie's remakes. Then Fox may copy of what the Halloween franchise is doing.

This is "the story and movie." I've been wanting for many years, they really need to scrap all the other sequels and continue on from Aliens. Hello? look at what they are doing with Halloween. Halloween 2018 scrapped all the other sequels/plus Rob Zombie's remakes and continuing on after the events of the 1978 film. Fox do you get the idea?

Me and my husband are huge fans of the Alien franchise. We always felt Alien 3 and 4 were out of place in the franchise though. Me and my husband have always felt that their should be a fifth movie, and wrap up Ripley's story. We aren't the biggest fans of what Ridley Scott is doing with the Alien prequels though. We think what's missing is that classic story and we both miss Sigourney doing Alien films. Neill Blomkamp's Alien 5 was the most exciting. We highly recommend Neill Blomkamp's Alien 5 and finish Ripley story. what's a story without a completed story?

Damn! I really want the classic story back! with Sigourney as Ripley, there probably would have been a re-casting of Newt though Michael Biehn as Hicks, and Lance Henricksen as Bishop and please bring back that scary monster that scared the hell out of us back in 1979!!! Neill Blomkamp's movie would be epic!!!

Why in the hell isn't the studio backing Neill Blomkamp? His purposed Alien 5 is anything better than what Ridley Scott was doing!!! Not too mentioned that Blomkamp had Sigourney Weaver and Michael Biehn returning!!! Blomkamp's Alien 5 is more interesting and exciting than what Ridley Scott is doing.

Ok, this is what I don't get. Fox took a chance with James Cameron, David Fincher, and Jean-Pierre-Jeunet and they all got the chance too add their names to the Alien franchise. Fox should have shown Neill Blomkamp with more respect and Neill Blomkamp deserved too have his name added onto the Alien franchise just like all those other great directors.

What gets too me about this whole situation is that Fox announced it and had green-lit Blomkamp's Alien project he was working on and he was going to make it happen. Then Ridley Scott went to Fox and told them "You know it's either Blomkamp or me." Because Scott said "I want too do Alien Covenant." So that was like the end of Blomkamp's Alien 5. The executives at Fox totally disrespected Neill Blomkamp. Every other director in the Alien franchise managed to make their Alien sequel. Too me in my opinion this isn't fair to Blomkamp. Neill Blomkamp should have been treated with more respect.
