Mr. Neill Blomkamp your Alien would have been a dream come true for a long time fans like myself I too truly love Lt. Ripley and the Xenomorphs. And yes you were right about one thing, you would have given back the fans a lot of hope for Alien. You are the only person that came up with the right story for a fifth Alien. Because Sigourney Weaver did not want Alien 5 to ever take place on earth and she was always willing to reprise the role of Ripley if the story was done right. I love the idea that you were going to resurrect Hicks, Newt, and Bishop and I thought that was like a very clever idea. Ripley and the Xenomorphs are the series main stories and they always will be. Ripley, Hicks, Newt and Bishop needs to finish their stories properly. So the people at Fox if you are smart enough which you aren't you should have gone along with Alien 5 this is a huge mistake on Fox's part.

Ridley Scott should end the Alien prequels with a trilogy, and just have him focus on one more final movie for the mistakes he made for Prometheus and Alien Covenant. Alien Covenant did not please fans at all. After that final movie in the prequel series give the franchise a rest or let some one else take charge. David's journey can't go on and on forever. Besides that Blomkamp's Alien would have been another roller coaster ride for die hard fans, just like James Cameron's Aliens. So yeah I am tired of all of this Alien back story mess.

Alien5 will do much better at the box office than Alien Covenant or another prequel!!

Everything I have heard about this project it's pure GOLD... Please, FOX, just give Blomkamp a try!!!

As two great magicians, Scott and Giger opened a gateway , a rift in space time that brought the Beast into our collective dream. Only they could do it, reaching the limits in human talent. The first Alien movie is a cathedral , monumental and symbolic. Remember the Nostro MO refinery("Our mother" : Notre Dame Cathedral") spaceflight scene. I understand that Scott as a cathedral builder wants to keep his monumental legacy from becoming a fast food restaurant. But the Beast is inside our dream now, it belongs to us as well and we share responsability over it. Please Mr Scott, give a chance to Neill Blomkamp. Even if he will not put as much symbolism as you do, he can bring another angle of vision, District 9 showed us a much needed interspecies cooperation. We trust him to help us to continue this dream. Summoning the Beast does not give total control over it, please let others valuable artists respectfully contribute to your legacy in their own manner. From France, the land of cathedrals.

Fox: stop the prequel of Scott and begin this movie

Covenant was below mediocre, not because of the alien/s, but Scott can't handle the beast properly, The script was super bad. Although ambitious, Prometheus/Covenant clearly show that Alien was a masterpiece cause of the collaboration of the amazing team behind it. It wasn't just Scott. Let N. Blomkamp do his own thing which he is passionate about/has a more focused vision on. Don't try to shove in 2 different movies into one (Covenant) as was clearly the band-aid solution the reaction of the fans wanting more aliens.

Covenant failed. Time to clean up the timeline.

Save the continuity of the "real" Alien universe... and make Alien 5!!!

We need ALIEN 5! Leaving the pathetic Prometheus/Covenant movies as the last hurrah...... would be a disgrace!
