My 3 year old daughter was lost by her dance school at her first dance recital. They had absolutely no security in place. There were no sign/in or sign/out sheets, no identification on any of the dance school employees and/or volunteers. We did find my daughter, but she was found outside of the building, alone. A 3 year old was allowed to leave a building located at a University completely unattended. In addition to the school losing her, there was a 30 minute time frame that the school cannot account for her whereabouts. When I reached out to the dance school they advised me that the people who were supposed to be responsible for her were not returning the school's phone calls. The dance school then told me that they were not comfortable with my 3 year old daughter returning to their school. This has made me incredibly suspicious of them and I want to know what possibly happened during the time she was lost and the 30 minutes before that. Considering the fact that there was no security, anything could have happened. I do not want to see this or something even worse happen to another child. Please sign this petition so that we can try to enforce dance schools to have security measures in place to prevent this from happening again. we just need to have some simple practices in place, like sign-in/sign-out sheets, identification being worn by dance school employees and/or volunteers, identification being requested of the person dropping off and/or picking up the children and security on doors.  Thank you!
