Greetings, According to local news sources, the Town of Mount Royal has decided not to display any religious symbols outside city hall. They will put an end to a 15 years tradition and take away a part of our heritage.

If each member of our community has the right to celebrate and display the symbols of their religion then the nativity scene or the menorah should be in front of the city-hall as they have been for the last 15 years. Their presents there was accepted by the majority of the population. In a democracy majority decisions are binding and the minority must accept them.

 The signers of this petition agree that the nativity scene is a timeless tradition and desire to keep this tradition alive.
