International French Fry Day should be on the second FRIDAY in July so it's ALWAYS on a FRIDAY... NOT July 13th every year!
Fries, chips, pommes frites... papas fritas, shu tiao or kentang goreng… whatever you call em, they’re arguably the numero uno, ultimate warrior, undefeated universal tasty snack champion of the WORLD that everyone has consumed at least once in their lifetime and if not, needs to ASAP!
French fries are a much loved, globally traded commodity and hence why French Fry Day is celebrated around the world under a few monikers:
- International French Fry Day
- International Fry Day
- National French Fry Day
- National Fries Day
- French Fries Day
- World French Fry Day
However, whatever you call it, there’s one MASSIVE problem… we feel that French Fry Day should be celebrated every year on the second FRIDAY in July and NOT July 13!... Why you ask?… well as the day suggests… it is “Fry”day after all... We should celebrate this monumental day on a FRIDAY!… and coz it just feels right… right?
We’re calling on fry-lovers from around the world to join together and fix this annual calendar fiasco!
Whether you:
- put em in ya burger or butty
- dip em in mayo or mustard
- love em in a kebab or with ketchup
- eat em with steak or dip in ya shake
- prefer em in poutine or plain jane
- like em home cooked or hand cut
- take em seasoned or salted
- crave em curly or crinkled
- use a fork or your fingers
