Naming the Exit 22 Bridge at I-95 the Jeremiah M. Goodson Memorial Bridge

On July 17, 2012 Officer Jeremiah M. Goodson Jr. was shot and killed in the line of duty. For 6 years he served the citizens of Lumberton, NC as a Lumberton Police Officer. He was a dedicated Police Officer who left behind a wife and two small children. Officer Goodson was struck down by a hail of gunfire in the parking lot of a local gas station located 1/2 of a mile from Exit 22 that crosses I-95 in Lumberton, NC. On July 24th 2012 Officer Goodson was carried across this bridge one last time to his final resting place at Gardens of Faith Cemetery. Please join me in supporting Officer Goodson and his family by asking the NC DOT to name this bridge in honor of this Man, Officer, Father and Son.

My heart goes out to his wife and kids. Please make this happen for them.
we need to honor our local heroes. he was a good man doing a hard job and he should be remembered.
He deserves this honor for his service. Lumberton remembers him.
Such a tragic loss for his family and the whole town. This would be a great way to remember him every time we drive over that bridge.
Too many police officers getting killed lately. Lets honor him like he deserves.
