I have been compiling the stories shared by former athletes to present to the leadership of the YMCA. These testimonials serve as a clear reminder of the lasting impact Coach Hines has had on our community.

The momentum behind this request for Coach Hines reflects the deep impact he has had on our local community. It is heartening to see so many individuals gathering to honor his long career of mentorship.

An astounding individual that you should be proud of having associated with your pool complex.
The memory and commitment of Coach Hines to the local YMCA and watersports teams will be reflected in Asheville's Downtown Pool. Kids today have few desirable role models to pattern their lives after, this is an outstanding opportunity to provide Asheville's youths with one.
What a great way to honor a man who has given so much of himself to the community!
Extraordinary people come along once in a lifetime to bless a community. Your comminuty was blessed with Mr. Hines and should acknowledge his legacy by naming the dowtown pool after Coach Chuck Hines.
Chuck is an amazing man, and has mentored more kids than I can count. He is directly responsible for helping young folks to find their path in life, in a positive manner. The world is a better place thanks to "The Coach".
It's the least the YMCA can do for the coach!
We need to celebrate our mentors, teachers and coaches!
