I could not agree more that Laura Deckelman deserves this. Others have pushed for a ferry for 20 years and accomplished nothing. Laura may not have got us a ferry but she sure did bring more attention to the subject then anyone else. Her photographs alone made so many more aware of the ferry situation and the need for a permanent ferry. Thank you Laura for your efforts.

Laura has been tenacious in getting our ferry back and I look forward to the day when we can board the Rockaway ferry at Deckelman's Landing.

It's always good to have an Advocate and Strong Supporter of any project. Ms. Deckelman's pictures during her ferry ride were quite enjoyable and I looked forward to them.

It is my pleasure to sign and support the Rockaway Ferry Landing to be named "Deckelman's Landing", after Laura Deckelman who has been an advocate and supporter throughout the process. I also have enjoyed Ms. Deckelman's pictures during her ferry ride countless times too!
