Jakob was a dear friend to many of us, a true mentor, he was always supportive and had a positive outlook on life. Jakob won two sectionals with North when the school had no pool to train on. Jakob tragically lost his life on a Saturday night. It's only fair we name the new pool after him.
I just saw the count hit five hundred and honestly I am stunned because that is so many people who clearly remember what Jakob meant to this place. It feels like just yesterday we were sitting in the bleachers talking about how hard it was to train without a facility but now we are actually doing this.

I was looking at the total earlier and it is honestly wild to see how many people remember Jakob because he really was that guy who made everything brighter even when he was just trying to get a practice set in. We are creeping up on that five hundred mark which feels like a real turning point for us so please just blast the link out to your group chats or wherever else people are actually paying attention today.

I really need everyone to grab a few people who knew Jakob or just spent time at the old school and get them to sign this thing before we hit that hundred mark because it has to look like we mean business. It feels strange seeing the count go up and thinking about how he would probably just laugh at all this serious talk but I know it is the right thing to do.

Jakob was a dear friend of mine while we were in elementary school and going into middle, we started parting ways in high school. I think naming the new schools pool would be an appropriate and honoring way of remembering jakob.

Even though I didn’t know Jakob personally, naming the new BHSN pool after him will continue to live on his legacy and the sport he loved most.

Jake was a person who would call anyone his friend. He truly embodied what everyone should strive to be with his kindness and work ethic. I’m going to miss him dearly.

Jacob was a great person and he deserves a memorial where he was happiest, in the water
