AMC Theatres opened a new location less than a mile from our theatre and they have pressured others to limit your choices by demanding that new movies play at their location or ours…but not both. This is called “clearance” and it’s an antiquated practice that’s rarely used anymore. Because of their demands, you won’t be able to see American Sniper or Fifty Shades of Grey here at LOOK Cinemas. Because of their size, they just might win this battle.
Since our first day of operation, we have worked hard to give you choice in your movies and your experiences. We’ve worked hard to deliver a superior experience and earn your trust. We’ve never rested on being good enough, having added new seating, expanded menu options, and becoming one of only a handful of theatres in the country to bring classic 70mm film back to the big screen. As a Dallas-based, Texan-operated company, we’ve been a proud part of our community having supported over 200 charities since our opening in 2013.

I work in Prestonwood Towers. When I look out the window, I see the LOOK theatre. I don't want to ever look out that window without seeing it. If shady stuff like this continues, that could eventually happen. Why is this form of bullying allowed? LOOK > AMC.
I can't stand monopolistic cronyism and was appalled to find that my favorite theater was no longer ALLOWED to show some films because a big chain opened up AFTER too close. This is ridiculously stupid and what I expect our anti-monopoly laws to protect us consumers against.
Look Cinemas is our favorite theater in Dallas. We are saddened by the fact that we have to go else where to watch movies that have been banned from showing by AMC. In that case we turn to Studio Movie grill, but their food, wine menu and friendly staff are lacking.
I believe I should have the right to choose where I see movies, not dictated where by corporate pressure or antiquated practices. AMC decided to build a cinema near my preferred venue, not me. Let me decide which I choose to patronize with newly released movies.
I refuse to see "Fifty Shades of Gray." I'm personally glad it's not being shown there, but I HATED that I had to go somewhere else to see "American Sniper." LOOK Is a legimitate, innovative theater that should be allotted the same options as over-bearing theater chains. #MYchoiceMYtheatre
just sell healthy foods like fruits and veggies!

This is nothing less than a way for the big established chain to squash the little guy. AMC can afford to build a new theater nearby any promising upstart JUST to mess with them. I'm convinced that's what happened here. It's not right.
