There is no need for an amphitheater and the city of Brookhaven should pause this project to review community input.

I walk my dog at MCP every day, and I often see people taking advantage of the safe, paved loop road for pushing strollers. As soon as the gate came off, I'd see cars driving on that road every day, for no particular reason. Enough sketchy people sit in their cars around there doing got knows what as it is. Typical Brookhaven doing Brookhaven stuff. How about spending the money on conservation and trail maintenance instead?

I like the updates but I don’t see a need for the loop road to remain at all. Can we not just take out the road completely and make it a good walking area and green space for kids and families to play/enjoy. The road has been closed for decades so what’s the point in opening it up and/or repaving the road at all.

To be clear, I want to keep all of the proposed changes from the park bond (playground updates, etc). However, I do not want the loop road changes. It is unnecessary and ruins one of the most (already) accessible, serene spots in Brookhaven.

This park has been an oasis and sanctuary for decades and deserves to stay that way, without a road cutting right through the middle of it. Building a road would also disrupt the ecosystem and abundant wildlife within and surrounding the park.

I don’t understand why the COB is hell bent on ruining our MCP. They have the ability to stop this but refuse to do so. We pay their salaries and are to be working for us but not. I wish we could fire them for not being human and listening to our concerns.

After they ruined Brook Run with all the development, I came to Murphy Candler Park to enjoy the natural setting. You have a jewel and you cannot replace 100 year old trees in less than 100 years (duh!). Please don't develop this wonderful area.

I moved to MCP 21 years ago for one reason. This Beautiful Park! The nature trails are disappearing and turning in to open space washed out walk ways that are full of exposed tree roots. This park once felt like a Nature preserve full of wildlife. It was my escape from the city in the city.

No amphitheater! Put it at Blackburn. Keep Murphy Candler park natural.

We did not have an option to vote down parts of the parks bond bill. Citizens from miles away voted this in and that is a shame.

This work is destroying wildlife habitat

I grew up at Murphey Candler. Enough greenspace has been destroyed, don't destroy anymore! An amphitheater would make more sense at Blackburn where you won't have to remove any forest!

you people stop building on every inch of green space. It's appalling. I grew up in Dunwoody and spent my life growing up at Murphy Chandler. Wez full down here. Im a true Georgian. Im sick of every stick being torn away.
