I walk my small children on Loop Road daily, and having car traffic is not only scary but completely unnecessary to facilitate park access.

A lot of trees have already been removed to expand the parking lots around the ballparks. Opening up the loop road so that more cars can be accomodated inside a green space where kids walk and play is not only unsafe but is a ridiculous idea!

Please don’t open the loop road to car traffic. Open gates should not be the default! So many kids, walkers, dogs— it is such a pleasant space and would lose its beauty with a bunch of cars scattered.

No one voted for this plan. It makes no sense to take away green space when most cities are trying to add to their green space.

The loop road needs to be kept closed to traffic. Many of us still remember the unsafe nightmare before those gates were put in place. The green space at MCP is small enough without knocking down any more trees. These so called "improvements" are destroying the character of the park and by extension the surrounding neighborhoods. The "benign neglect" of DeKalb Co was far preferable to the "death by 1000 cuts" being administered by COB.

As a 15 year resident of Oak Forest Hills. I oppose opening of the loop road and adding parking spots that deteriorate the natural wildlife habitat. It’s bad enough that the city has continued to allow overdevelopment with clear cutting of trees in our city. It’s time to listen to your constituency. We will not be ignored.

I'm going to repeat what others have already said. Please keep the park a "car free" zone. There are precious few places we can walk without cars moving by within a few feet of the sidewalk. Keep our free space green and for the community. We do not need more cars or roads but rather walkable paths.

Leadership appears dramatically out of touch with its constituents and alarmingly unwilling to hear their views. Irreversible changes like this need to be carefully considered. If folks are screaming about it WAIT and figure out what is going on first.

I can not believe that anyone would want that loop road open. Children run, and bike across that road to get to the park. This COB is opening it up to someone getting hit. I am amazed they would even think this would be a good idea.
