MSC targets review petition

To MSC company, offices, and whom it may concern,
We are reaching out to you through this petition with a formal request for a hard revision and, consequently, a proper adjustment to short- and long-term targets.
We, the shop staff, as employees, embraced the new canvas proposed by the company called “Better Together," whose goal was to offer better opportunities for financial growth and a better onboard life. However, the shop department didn’t see the reflection of such program in our lives and salaries; instead, we were led into a downward spiral made of staff overcapacity and unrealistic targets.
We acknowledge the need for the company to defend their investments and make high profits; however, as a big responsible for MSC revenues on board, which keep being very high, we believe it to be fair to be rewarded for our expertise and hard work in a way that reflects the efforts we are putting into our job, so that the sacrifices we are making will be worth it for us and will allow us to support ourselves and our families outside of the ship.
We have been losing personnel, colleagues, and friends to other companies for this exact reason: poor compensation for our hard work. We will not be able to offer the same outstanding results with a lack of qualified personnel replaced by unqualified but more economically convenient staff.
As the remaining crew, the ones still believing in the values of MSC, we are using this as our last resort to request a change before we see ourselves forced to a change of company.
With open dialogue, we are asking for adjustments as the only way to keep us motivated and working, offering the best of our capacities; however, if the company believes it is acceptable to keep us unfairly underpaid, it is a direction we will not follow.
In the same way MSC is trying to keep their guests by improving the quality of the structures on board, we ask for the company to improve the quality of their staff’s salaries, as that would be the only way to keep their qualified and experienced staff.
We wait for a formal response.
Sincerely,
MSC Shop Department
