I completely AGREE with your comment. But, if CCISD's Board is the kind of Board that needs to feel as if they are doing "something", then a minor footnote of a reprimand is a possible solution. What is proper protocol for checking out children via the front office?

Kelly, these teachers shouldn't even be reprimanded. The front office at Gilmore hasn't properly checked kids out in years! These two are paying the price for what the front office should be paying the price for.

Sadly, CCISD has lost several great educators because of their bullying tactics. Many of these teachers had 15+ years at various campuses. Sound like a similar thing is happening at Gilmore. My heart goes out to these two teachers. Even if they get to stay in the district, they will always be treated poorly.

We currently have Mrs. Marquez, she is an awesome teacher. My daughter absolutely loves her and is learning so much this year. Please reinstate her!

If the parent had the legal right this should not be an issue and teachers are ao valuable!!!

This is an irresponsible act by CCISD administration that is detrimental to Gilmore students AND teachers. It should always be the policy for administration to act in a way that is BEST for children, and this is an incredibly stupid move on their part.

Both my kids had Ms. Mize and Ms. Marquez. Best teachers they have ever had!!!!!

CCISD has gotten so strict on there check in & out policy, I used to be able to go to the classrooms whenever I .wanted to and now you have to have arrangements with the teacher to do so. We trust the to teach our children not to keep us from getting them whenever we need to. This is just another example of the administration over stepping there bounds when it concerns our children. I know what it like to have a special teacher both my boy's have Autism & lucky they have had a teacher that cares about them learning and can handle them when they go in to meltdowns..

Ms. Mize has helped our son C.J to excel in his studies. She is caring and compassionate. It is rare to find teachers that truly enjoy what they do and share their passion for learning with their students. I would like to see her returned to her classroom for the sake of my son as well as the other students who depend on her daily. I think the punishment is harsh and seems that the children are the ones who suffer and yet that is who we are supposed to protect.
